Oral Presentations Schedules and Guidelines |
On behalf of the Scientific Committee of the 5th ACPID, we would like to extend our gratitude to all authors who submitted their papers for oral presentation. Please find below the presentation schedule and guideline listed for your reference.
To ensure the content of the presentation are shared effectively with all participants, below are some guidelines to help you prepare your presentation. If you require further assistance, please email to the congress secretariat Ms. Genie Chang at acpid2010@gisgroup.com.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Each Free Paper Session consists of 7-10 oral presentations. The time allocated for each oral presentation is 10 minutes, followed by 2 minutes of discussion. The presenters are requested to stay within the allotted time with NO EXCEPTION. Questions that the audience may wish to ask after the allotted time has elapsed may be asked during the coffee break and the networking sessions.
PRESENTATION SUBMISSION
All oral presentations MUST be in MS PowerPoint format. We would appreciate if you can submit your presentation file before the submission deadline, dated September 5, 2010.
- Presentation medium: English
- Only PowerPoint presentation made in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 or earlier versions can be accepted.
- Pictures and animation links to the Internet will NOT be accessible.
- PowerPoint Presentation submission deadline: September 5, 2010. Make sure to send your presentation to Ms. Genie Chang via email at acpid2010@gisgroup.com before the deadline.
- Please ensure your abstract paper ID is included in the email.
- The subject line of your email should be: 5th ACPID 2010 (Abstract Code + Name of Presenter)
- Please bring a back up of your presentation either in CD or in USB drives, just in case unavoidable technical glitches occur.
- To avoid time-consuming switching from one laptop to another, presenters will not be allowed to use their own laptops.
EQUIPMENT AND ROOM SETUP
The meeting rooms are set up in theater style seating (no tables, just rows of chairs). Each room is equipped with a standard audiovisual package that will support an electronic presentation. The package includes Laptops (with Window XP), LDC Projector, Projector Stand, Screen, Power Cord, VGA Switcher, Microphones, Wireless remotes and Laser Pointer.
NOTE: The conference is unable to guarantee that your presentation will be displayed correctly if animations, video clips or sound are embedded in your presentation file. |
SPEAKERS READY ROOM
The Speaker Ready Room has been arranged in Room 106 at the first floor of the congress venue, which allows presenters the opportunity to view their presentations and to obtain any technical support they might require prior to their scheduled session. You must check-in with the Speaker Ready Room and review your presentation at least 2 hrs prior to your scheduled presentation time. Listed in the following table are the times available for the Speaker Ready Room.

PRESENTING
Please arrive at your session meeting room at least 15 minutes before the session begins. Take time to familiarize yourself with the set-up at the . You will be controlling/advancing the slides during your presentation. We have arranged to have technicians floating between session rooms for assistance when needed. These technicians will be wearing special badges so they can be easily identified.
REGITRATION
All presenters must be fully registered for the 5th ACPID. Please note that YOU CAN NOT PRESENT WITHOUT REGISTERING FOR THE CONFERENCE. Â
IF YOU CANNOT BE THERE
If, subsequent to your planning, you find that you are unable to present your paper, it is never too late to let us know. Please try to find a substitute presenter and inform the Organizing Committee and/or the Congress Secretariat at your earliest convenience. The Congress Secretariat will keep a register of any who failed to notify them of their absence. |
Poster Presentations Schedules and Guidelines |
On behalf of the Scientific Committee of the 5th ACPID, we would like to extend our gratitude to all the authors in the poster presentation. Please find below the presentation schedule and guideline listed for your reference.
INSTRUCTIONS
To ensure major findings in the research work are shared effectively with all participants, we encourage all poster presenters to observe the following:
- All poster presentation should be created in English.
- You have complete freedom in displaying your information in figures, tables, text, photography, etc. Figures should be designed to be viewed from a distance and should use clear visible graphics and large type. Color can be effective if used sparingly. It is recommended to use saturated dark color on white background, or rich, bright colors on dark backgrounds.
- The usable surface where posters will be mounted is 100 cm in width and 250 cm in height; your poster will be displayed vertically.
- Posters can be fixed using double-sided tape. We will prepare tapes for mounting. However, it is recommended to bring your own suppliers in case they might not be sufficiently available for all of the presenters.
- No audiovisual equipment will be provided for poster presentations.
- Presentation Number supplied by the organizer will be placed on the upper part of each poster board.
- You MUST incorporate your "Presentation Number" into your poster display.
- Title, authors’ names, affiliations, countries should be included on the poster.
- The title should be the same as the one in your abstract.
- All posters should be brought by the presenter. Please do not send your poster by mail.
- There will be no printing facility at the congress site. It is recommended that you hand-carry your poster to the congress, using tubular packaging or a portfolio case. Costs associated with creating and shipping the poster display will be the responsibility of the presenters.
- The organizers can not take responsibility for any loss or damage of the posters not dismantled by their authors within the given time.
- Presenters are strongly advised to remove their posters during the designated tear-down period or their posters would be removed and disposed of.
- It is our policy that the author must present the Poster Presentation in person. If this is not possible, please nominate a co-author and let us know by August 15, 2010. You or someone you nominate must present the Poster Presentation, or your Poster Presentation will not be published in the Proceedings or included in the conference program.
- Poster set-up, tear-down, poster presentation schedule:
