The aim of Travel Award Grant is to encourage the attendance at the 5th ACPID Congress by contributors from foreign nations. Applicants can range from student, individuals at the early career stage or be experienced contributors who are unable to attend because for restricted finance. Priority will be given to persons who have not received support previously and who do not hold a permanent senior position. The Organizing Committee will select a number of recipients for the grant. As there are limited numbers of Travel Award, please seek alternate funds and make travel plan early.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be permanent residents of countries other than Taiwan
• Applicants must be under and including the age of 45 in the congress year
• (Clear copy of ID indicating date of birth is to be sent to the Congress Secretariat via e-mail: mailto:acpid2010@gisgroup.com or by fax to +886-2-8789-3602)
• Submitted an abstract for the congress by June 20, 2010. The abstract must be original material that has not been previously published prior to the Congress. Late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
• The award laureates MUST be the first author of the abstract and have to present either an oral or poster at the congress themselves.
• Any applicants do not conform to above terms will automatically be declined.

Application and Acceptance Instructions
The abstracts for the competition have to be sent through the regular congress submission system. When submitting their abstracts to the congress, candidates have to confirm that they would like to participate in the competition. If you are eligible for this Award and would like to apply, please select “I apply for Travel Award” when submit the abstract through the conference Web site.

The organizers will email an acceptance notice and will publish successful applicants’ names on our web page and send by July 31, 2010. Once an acceptance notice is received, candidates must immediately register (payment at the time is essential) and be able to attend the full congress.

Terms and Condition
The Organizers reserve the right to

• Rescind the award from award laureates who do not attend the full 5th ACPID Congress in person.
• Make no award if no suitable application is received.
• Amend the terms and conditions of the Travel Award Grant without notice.
