YOUNG RESEARCHER AWARD (YRA) is an award given to the best research papers in the 5th ACPID Congress. The followings are the guidance for application for the award:

• The applicant should be under 45 years old in the Congress year.
• The applicant should register and attend the 5th ACPID.
• The applicant should have submitted an abstract for oral or poster presentation as the first and the presenting author to the 5th ACPID.
• The abstract should not have been published in any journal nor presented in an international conference before July 31, 2009.

• The abstract should be written in English.
• The abstract for the competition has to be sent through the regular congress submission system. When submitting their abstracts to the Congress, candidates have to confirm that they would like to participate in the competition. For those who are eligible for YRA and would like to apply, please select “I apply for YRA” when submit the abstract through the congress website.

• If the applicant has more than one paper, only the paper with the highest score will be considered to be awarded.
• The applicant should submit a photocopy of ID to the Congress Secretariat indicating the date of birth and a letter for application with a title of “Apply for YRA” via e-mail to mailto:acpid2010@gisgroup.com.

• The decision on the YRA application will be sent to the applicant by e-mail before July 31, 2010. Please visit your e-mail (Inbox or Spam Folder) regularly.

• Once a notice for acceptation is received, candidates must immediately register (payment at the time is essential) and be able to attend the full congress.
• The Scientific Committee reserves the right to

• Rescind the award from awarded laureates who do not attend the full 5th ACPID Congress in person.
• Make no award if no suitable application is received.
